Having had the opportunity to work across various settings, Kate has the experience and skill to work with a diverse range of concerns and supports young people, adults, couples and families. Her clients are consistent in their testimonials of feeling heard, seen and validated in their individual experiences which has enabled positive change and growth. Kate does this by guiding her clients to navigate through vulnerable periods of their lives using solution-focused, strength-based and value led strategies that promote healthy, long lasting change.
Kate’s warm and direct approach creates an environment free of judgement, providing you the space for honest self-exploration. She believes that by combining evidence-based practise with gentle curiosity, clients can increase their self-awareness and connection to self and others, making them more capable of staying on their chosen path and more resilient to challenges.
Kate’s practise is tailored to her clients’ needs and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with using components of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Gottman Couples Method where suitable. A significant part of her practice also includes skill building to empower clients to be able to make choices most aligned with their best self.
