Karolina Krysinska is a highly skilled counsellor who has worked in the field for more than 20 years. She is a member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Psychological Society.

Karolina’s interest in counselling reflects her passion for a deeper understanding of psychological and emotional well-being, and her investment in the betterment of human relationships. Her work is based on respectful exploration of client’s experience in the here and now of a session, including the ongoing psychotherapy relationship. In a session, Karolina and a client look together at patterns of emotional reactions and behaviours, new (yet) unfamiliar ways of being oneself and being with others, and new possibilities for change and growth.

Each session with Karolina is focused on what is most important for the client and is tailored to meet their needs. Karolina uses an empathic, integrated, client-centred approach drawing mostly on Gestalt psychotherapy and informed by other major psychotherapeutic approaches, such as somatic psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and transactional analysis. Karolina believes in the uniqueness of each client and is guided by how they experience their relationships with significant others and what they encounter on their life paths.
