Jenny Walter is a highly skilled, masters qualified counsellor, who has been in practice for many years. Jenny has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with individuals, couples and families.

Jenny’s approach to counselling is outcome focused, client-directed and collaborative. With individual clients, Jenny focuses on supporting her clients to develop insight, enthusiasm for life, and a sense of inner peace. Jenny will help you learn strategies to overcome life’s challenges and live life with confidence, learning to and trusting in your own capacity to deal with what has been, and what lies ahead. Jenny enjoys working with a range of clients supporting their needs, she enables people to make wiser and more empowering choices and develop resilience. For couples, Jenny uses evidence-based strategies to assist couples to repair, rebuild and rejuvenate their relationships in a caring and supportive environment. Working with Jenny enables people to make wiser and more empowering choices and develop resilience. Jenny is passionate about helping people build meaningful, connected strong relationships.  

Jenny is trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches which enables her to tailor sessions to meet each client’s unique needs. Counselling techniques that Jenny uses include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy, Gottman Sound Relationship Theory, and Family and Couple System Therapy.
