Jenny Walter is a highly skilled and effective counsellor with a wealth of knowledge from many years of experience in private practice working with individuals, couples and families.
Jenny’s approach to counselling is compassionate, client-focused and collaborative. She is devoted to helping her clients develop insight, enthusiasm for life, and a sense of inner peace. Jenny will help you learn strategies to cope with life’s challenges that will encourage living life with confidence and trusting in your own capacity to deal with what has been, and what lies ahead. Working with Jenny enables people to make wiser and more empowering choices, develop resilience and strengthen relationships.
Jenny is trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches which enables her to tailor sessions to meet each client’s unique needs. Counselling techniques that Jenny uses include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy, Gottman Sound Relationship Theory, and Family and Couple System Therapy.
