Jennifer Loola-Altheimer is a highly accomplished clinical counsellor and registered supervisor. She is registered with the Australian Counselling Association, Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, and the Attorney-General’s Department. With over 2 decades of experience, Jennifer works with individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families presenting with a wide range of concerns.
Jennifer believes that the counselling process is not just about empowering clients, but it is also about dignifying the client by acknowledging the challenges they face, identifying the strengths they already possess and celebrating their individuality. Jennifer believes that clients are the experts of their lives and her role is to facilitate the journey to help them tap into their inner resources to bring about self-awareness, personal growth as well as to improve relationships within themselves and others. Jennifer is passionate about helping people grow and improve their relationships - whether with themselves, their partners, their families or with anyone else in their life. She has grown to understand that only in finding peace with oneself can anyone bring about growth and improvement in relationships with others.
Jennifer’s training and extensive experience enable her to empathise with her clients, making them feel heard and understood. Sessions are created to meet the client’s therapeutic needs, incorporating a strength-based, client-centred approach and combining a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and techniques. Jennifer creates an environment where clients feel supported and empowered to find their own voice and path through the challenges they are facing, while she journeys alongside them.
