Jennifer Loola-Altheimer is a highly accomplished clinical counsellor and registered supervisor.  She is registered with the Australian Counselling Association, Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, and the Attorney General Department. With over 2 decades of experience, Jennifer has worked with individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families presenting with a wide range of concerns.

Being an insightful counsellor, Jennifer believes that the counselling process is not just about empowering clients, but it is also about dignifying the client by acknowledging the challenges they face, identifying the strengths they already possess and celebrating their individuality. Jennifer believes that clients are the experts of their lives and her role is to facilitate the journey to help them tap into their inner resources to bring about self-awareness, personal growth as well as to improve relationships within themselves and others. Jennifer is passionate about helping people grow and improve their relationships - whether with themselves, their partners, their families or with anyone else in their life. She has grown to understand that only in finding healing in the relationship with oneself, can you bring about growth and healing in relationships with others.

Jennifer’s training and extensive experience in various issues such as family and relationship dynamics, interpersonal issues, grief and loss, family and domestic violence, various forms of trauma, depression, anxiety, parent-teen conflict and migration enables her to empathise with her clients, making them feel heard and understood. Sessions are created to meet the client’s therapeutic needs, incorporating a strength-based, client-centred approach and combining a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and techniques in an environment allows clients to feel supported and empowered to find their own voice and path to the challenges they are facing as Jennifer journeys alongside them.
