Irinah Jurkowski is an exceptionally skilled and engaging counsellor with over 20 years’ professional experience. She is an active member of the Australian Counselling Association, and has a substantial background working in private practice across a broad range of client concerns. Irinah specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Irinah has a deeply collaborative approach to counselling. She is dedicated to providing a nonjudgmental, respectful environment for her clients to discuss their concerns, and actively focus on overcoming life’s challenges. Irinah helps her clients to identify any underlying thoughts and emotions associated with their current concerns, and shares practical strategies to effectively manage life choices. By enhancing her clients’ understanding of the unique ways they perceive and experience themselves, their relationships with others, and different circumstances and events, Irinah supports her clients to develop and maintain self-confidence, optimism, and greater satisfaction in all areas of life.
Irinah integrates a number of counselling methods into her practice, and tailors counselling to meet the needs of each individual client. Therapeutic techniques that Irinah uses include Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Attachment-Oriented Therapy. Irinah is committed to supporting her clients achieve optimal personal wellbeing and relationship health.
