Heather is committed to supporting her client’s developing capacity for self-awareness as she helps to facilitate changes in the way we feel as we become aware of our inner experience and learn to befriend what is going on inside ourselves.
The human journey is certainly varied, and times of crisis can often be the catalyst to seek meaning and support. Heather acknowledges the courage this may require to even just ‘turn up’ and will endeavour to create a safe and healthy working therapeutic alliance. Heather is a compassionate and empathetic listener who is passionate to assist you to become more aware of the innate wisdom held within. To enable this Heather will utilise evidence-based skills she has developed over the past twelve years that blends principles of Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy as a way of exploring the discrete subpersonalities that hold emotions, perceptions and belief systems and that affect our behaviour and emotional wellness.
