Gracie Potamianakis is a highly skilled and approachable counsellor with over 10 years’ experience. She is an accredited registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. In addition to her private practice, Gracie has worked extensively in the corporate sector. She provides effective therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families on a broad range of personal and work related issues.
Gracie adopts a person centred approach to her work and easily adapts to each client’s individual needs for therapy, learning and growth. As a therapeutic, dynamic and motivating therapist, she assists her clients to overcome life’s difficulties and live their best lives. She focuses on her clients’ strengths, helping them to raise awareness, develop insight, enhance coping skills and better manage their issues effectively. Gracie understands that seeking support and taking those first steps towards considering possible change for people can be overwhelming. Her insightful guidance coupled with her approachable style quickly puts clients at ease and allows them to get the most out of their sessions. Gracie also incorporates psycho-education and effective tools and strategies to guide her clients towards desired positive change.
Gracie uses various evidence based approaches, specifically chosen to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances. Counselling techniques that Gracie uses include: Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Positive Psychology, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Strengths-Based Therapy. Gracie works collaboratively with each client to increase wellbeing, strengthen relationships and meet personal goals. She is dedicated to helping her clients be their best selves, in wellbeing, life and work.
