Gillian McCulloch is a highly experienced counselling that has a sound ability to engage with each client drawing from her insight, knowledge, and experience to support and guide clients to a place of greater wellbeing, stronger relationships, and growth. She works with adults and couples, providing an empowering experience in which to work creatively and begin the process of problem solving and personal growth.
Gillian’s guidance and support is skilled and respectful, and she will help bring about a sense of hope and relief. In each case, Gill will work collaboratively with you and select therapeutic interventions that are most likely to help you gain the tools and strategies necessary to manage your painful thoughts and emotions, clarify your thoughts, and enable you to make your own decisions and achieve your goals.
Gillian incorporates a number of counselling techniques into her practice which include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, EMDR and Clinical Hypnosis. She uses a trauma informed approach to help you explore past experiences, feelings or behaviours that are contributing to and sustaining ongoing problems. As you regain control over your life, the reasons behind your problems will become less important.
