Geraldine Flynn is a highly qualified and experienced counsellor who holds registration with the Australian Counselling Association. Geraldine works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families presenting with a wide range of concerns. Geraldine meets clients where they are at with whatever concerns they bring and offers a space to gain perspective, clarity, and improved wellbeing.
Highly authentic and easy to talk to, Geraldine believes counselling shouldn't feel intimidating or overly clinical. Her sessions are collaborative and guided by what matters most to each client. She helps people recognise the patterns that may be keeping them stuck and identify practical ways to respond differently in everyday life. Clients often appreciate Geraldine’s ability to balance honest reflection with practical strategies. Geraldine won't pretend to have all the answers, but she will listen carefully, offer fresh perspectives, and walk alongside her clients as they discover what works best for them.
Drawing on trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Ego-State Therapy (parts work) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Geraldine tailors her approach to the individual rather than expecting people to fit a particular model. She believes lasting change comes from understanding yourself more deeply, recognising that change is possible, and building the confidence to approach life's challenges in new and more helpful ways.
