Fiona McBain is a warm and reflective counsellor with 10 years’ experience supporting a diverse range of clients. She is also a member of the Australian Counselling Association. Fiona has worked within a number of broad settings, including private, community and public sectors. She has substantial experience providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples and families.

Fiona is committed to creating a safe therapeutic space for her clients to openly explore and address any underlying issues and challenges in their lives. She draws on her vast knowledge and extensive insights to provide support in a collaborative manner. Fiona strongly supports and encourages her clients to find meaning within their lives and gain conscious, personal insight to feel confident and comfortable with themselves. Fiona finds her sessions incredibly rewarding, as she guides and supports her clients to resolve personal difficulties and create lasting, positive change.

Fiona tailors her counselling approach to each unique client. She draws from a range of different approaches, such as Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapy. Fiona also incorporates existential thinking into her work.
