Emily Bieber is a counsellor with over 17 years of experience. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and a lecturer at La Trobe University. Emily supports a broad range of people including children, adolescents, couples and families who are facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, parenting struggles, family violence, addiction and climate anxiety.
Emily provides a safe environment, a gentle approach and practical solutions. She is a friendly and knowledgeable counsellor who will support you to set achievable goals using realistic strategies. Emily is kind, encouraging, and will support you and your family to build on your existing skills and strengths to increase wellbeing and health. Emily understands that fighting fear, worry and anxiety is a serious battle, and works hard to help people to overcome these.
As a mother of three, Emily knows that life is busy and complex. She is passionate about building better relationships between family members. Emily will talk you through ideas for change, and make sure you can apply them in your daily routine. Emily can help you to explore the environment around you: work, family, health, community. She blends this understanding with individual therapies such as motivational interviewing and trauma-informed counselling, in order to reduce isolation and amp up emotional wellbeing, for all ages.
