Bachelor Psychology (Hon)
Elizabeth is a registered psychologist with experience within the welfare and education sectors. Elizabeth has extensive experience with children, families, and adults with high/complex needs and challenging behaviours as well as persistent and severe mental illness. Her work has also included working with families impacted by domestic violence, separation, and divorce. Elizabeth is also a trained family therapist.
As a therapist, Elizabeth is guided by the principles of compassion and respect. She firmly believes in the value of tailoring evidence-based approaches to the needs of an individual and developing a warm and collaborative relationship with her clients. Elizabeth has extensive experience helping people to overcome the effects of trauma and relationship stress.
Elizabeth is skilled in delivering a number of evidence-based interventions including; Family Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and other strengths-based models. Elizabeth has a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families and understands the importance of involving parents in order to facilitate the very best outcomes for children and adolescents.
