Dinah Stern-Spiteri is a counsellor with over 16 years counselling experience, who is also a proficient group facilitator, trainer and mediator. Dinah has been a member with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) for the past 16+ years and is also listed on the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCaP). Dinah has worked both in the private and government sectors with several years in various non-for profit organisations, having worked with clients from ages 12+ to over 80 years of age in individual, couple and group settings.
With a firm belief that life is all about growth and change and that we can all achieve our best if we are empowered to do so. Dinah ensures that clients have a safe, confidential setting in which to explore possibilities from all angles, especially those that we often don’t see ourselves. When we hear ourselves speak aloud those issues and concerns we harbour, we identify areas where we can make changes. This creates hope, and a positive outlook to effect long-lasting change and to promote personal growth and well-being.
Dinah works from a client centred and directed approach, with the onus on the client being ‘the master of their life’. Within an eclectic framework of theories Dinah utilises: Solution Focused Therapy, Choice Therapy and Mindfulness integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT). Dinah will also provide you with practical tools and exercises in order to help you create the platform to effect change, and encourage you to move forward to the fuller and more satisfying life that you desire.
Dinah Stern-Spiteri has appointments available in the following location: South Hobart
