Diane Clough (known to her clients as Di) is an insightful counsellor with 35 years’ experience working in diverse settings with clients of all ages, including family groups and couples.  Di is incredibly supportive and encouraging. She uses an integrated, client-centred approach, and is skilled at helping her clients address a broad range of issues.

Di envisages counselling as an opportunity. By exploring an area of concern in life and seeking insight into underlying issues and impacts, Di’s clients create the conditions that make change possible. In this way, each counselling session can develop into a positive and uplifting experience. Di is committed to helping her clients find new ways to manage life’s challenges, with a focus on health and wellbeing.

As an accredited mental health practitioner, Di incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into her practice, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Process-Oriented Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. She often uses Expressive Therapies (e.g. sand tray, symbols and art therapy), particularly when working with children.
