Deb has extensive experience as a professional counsellor, supporting adults and couples across a broad range of complex issues. She is a member of multiple organisations including the ACA, AHPRA and ACMHN, ensuring the best care for her clients.
Deb combines her experience and training in counselling so she can help clients better understand the connections between their physical, neurological, and emotional health with current life challenges. Her practical attitude, friendly and empathic approach focuses on helping clients explore and better understand their thoughts and feelings in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Through improved understanding and greater self-awareness, Deb firmly believes that habitual patterns of behaviour and unhelpful ways of thinking can be explored and changed. Improved self-awareness can then open the way for clients to develop improved wellbeing and more fulfilling relationships.
Being results-oriented means that Deb helps her clients by using several evidence-based therapies, individually tailored to suit their specific situation. The strategies implemented not only address the current life challenges but provide clients with the resources to empower them in the future to improve wellbeing and relationships. These therapies include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
