From the very beginning David has been passionate about meeting and working with different types of people. His aim is to help his clients to deal with and resolve their specific issues effectively and efficiently and he offers practical and proven methods, skills and techniques to enable them to do so. David loves to observe the positive personal growth in his clients, resulting from his therapeutic work with them. David’s counselling style is friendly, engaging and informal. He always aims to empower his clients and provide them with skills, techniques and strategies that enable them to resolve their current issues and to equip them to continue their progress and development on their own after the completion of their counselling program. Many of his clients acknowledge the long-term positive results and benefits following their counselling experience with him. David helps his clients to identify their individual strengths and to build on them, so that they can experience themselves being fully in control of their emotions, actions and their life generally. David likes to see his clients leave each counselling session feeling better than when they first came in and receives positive feedback from his clients accordingly.

David is committed to understanding each client as a unique individual, their issues and concerns and the outcomes they are looking for and he works with them to help them achieve such outcomes. David uses a client-centred approach, he utilises proven, effective and practical methods and techniques from different counselling/psychotherapeutic models including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness and Relaxation training. He also works with clients who want to improve their self-esteem and confidence and neutralise and eliminate any personal obstacles (often resulting from past distressing events) that interfere with and impede their progress towards their goals. David believes counselling can be a positive and rewarding experience for his clients that facilitates their greater understanding of themselves and their relationships and enables them to achieve a sense of peace, calm, confidence, control over their lives and meaningful, positive and constructive connection and interaction with other people.
