Daniel is a counsellor with years’ of experience supporting clients. He is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and possesses a special interest in children, adolescent, couples and family counselling.
Daniel utilises effective behavioural techniques to aid clients achieve their personalised therapy goals and create lasting, positive change in their lives. He posits that all clients have an innate ability to overcome perceived limitations and helps them develop the skills necessary to achieve the change they desire. By creating a space of non-judgement and unconditional positive regard, he helps clients to understand the formation of their difficulties and to find personalised ways in which they can move forward in their desired direction.
We are all to some extent shaped by unconscious programming from our childhood, often exhibiting the same patterns of behaviour that we have learned from a young age. Daniel helps clients to identify maladaptive patterns of behaviour by improving client awareness and helps facilitate positive change by encouraging the development of new, adaptive life skills resulting in better coping mechanisms and subsequent reductions in the experience of negative emotional states. Modalities that Daniel utilises include: Functional-Analytic Psychotherapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Solution-Based Therapy
