Cranston Brecht is a very experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist who provides private therapy and counselling to adults in Sydney. He is a current member of PACFA. He has been in private practice for over 17 years and is a graduate of ANZAP, this training is in an evidence-based treatment that is useful for a wide range of presentations. He started his career working as a counsellor at a hospital that gave him grounding in many psychological presentations. He worked there for many years and then moved on to private practice. He is committed to supplying an engaging and empathetic therapeutic environment that helps move people towards their individual goals.
Cranston offers a safe and caring environment that allows the individual to explore and work through their concerns. Empathy, understanding and safety are the cornerstones of a successful counselling process and when working with Cranston you can expect to gain insight and movement towards a practical solution. This process allows the development and growth of individual learning and expansion, and helps to create positive outcomes that effect every aspect of the individuals experience. Cranston is highly committed to helping people find new ways to move forward and embrace life.
Cranston’s counselling style is open and relaxed. He creates a space where the person can explore their issues clearly and calmly. His focus is very much on the individual and lets their issues and concerns lead the way. He primarily uses a client focused psychodynamic process that facilitates lasting positive changes.
