Corrie Furner is a highly skilled and insightful counsellor who works collaboratively with her clients in making positive changes in their lives and relationships. Corrie holds membership with both the Australian Counselling Association, the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Association of Psychologists. Corrie has experience working with a wide range of clients, including adolescents, adults, and couples.
Corrie provides a highly supportive environment where clients can openly explore their challenges, grounded in trust, authenticity, and compassion. Her approach centres on each client’s unique journey, offering dedicated support to facilitate meaningful and positive transformation. Corrie helps clients gain valuable insights and tools to navigate life’s challenges, find renewed purpose, and lead lives that feel true to themselves. She is passionate about helping people live their best lives and achieve greater self-understanding, enabling clients to live with connection, authenticity, improved wellbeing, and happiness.
Each session with Corrie is tailored to meet the client’s individual needs. Her practice is informed by Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, Positive Psychology, ACT Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Corrie’s training also includes the Gottman Method and certification from the Advanced Habit Change Institute, equipping her to support clients in working through trauma and empowering them to make practical, lasting changes.
