Colleen is an insightful and experienced Art Therapist and Counsellor. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for many years and is qualified and experienced in relationship counselling, crisis support, mental health first aid and suicide intervention. Colleen is a member of the Australian Counselling Association, and continually expands and develops her skills and knowledge through workshops, seminars and training courses.
Colleen is compassionate, empathic and non-judgmental. She understands how our psychological, emotional and physical health are connected and if one area is facing challenges then the other areas can be impacted too. Colleen’s approach to therapy is focused on the individual with a passion for creating an environment that facilitates change. She arms her clients with the necessary skills and strategies that will empower them to make the positive change they aim for.
Colleen uses recognised, evidence-based models of therapy including, Art and Creative Therapies, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Gestalt Therapy. Colleen recognises that each client is unique, and she will take the time to tailor an individual program, and work collaboratively with you to help you find resolution and healing.
