Christine is an intuitive and exceptionally skilled counsellor with 20 years experience in the counselling field. She is an active member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and supervises other counsellors and psychotherapy students. Christine has an extensive background in private practice, the community sector and as an educator in psychotherapy training. She works with individuals, couples and families.

Christine understands that it requires great courage to seek counselling and meets her clients with warmth and authenticity. She provides a safe and supportive environment for her clients to explore what matters to them. She guides them in a gentle and collaborative process of self-exploration. Christine facilitates a process through which clients are able to develop deeper awareness of themselves and their situation. Her clients frequently report experiencing themselves as more self-accepting, self-aware and resourceful after their sessions. Often choices become clearer and hope for the future develops. Christine supports couples and families in communicating more effectively and developing greater intimacy and authentic contact.

Christine is trained in Gestalt psychotherapy, which is a sophisticated, humanistic and holistic approach to counselling. Christine’s counselling approach pays regards to her clients’ whole experience – physical, psychological, intellectual, emotional, interpersonal and spiritual. Each counselling session is unique and develops from her clients’ immediate experience and what emerges as significant topic of exploration in the session. She uses creative methods and processes to help clients gain greater self-awareness and expand their repertoire of responses to challenges in their lives.
