Cherie Gardner is a highly accomplished and experienced counsellor who holds a full membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. Cherie has worked in a diverse range of settings seeing adolescents, adults, and couples with a wide range of presenting issues.
Through Cherie’s approach, she creates an experience where clients feel supported to investigate their unhelpful patterns and beliefs and move towards growth and wellbeing. Cherie has a real understanding about how traumatic and challenging experiences can impact clients and their mental, physical, and emotional health. She therefore believes that awareness is the key to change and that all clients hold within them intrinsic knowledge to resolve their current difficulties. Often accessing these resources alone can be difficult, as such, Cherie facilitates this process in a cooperative manner.
With a diverse background and extensive training, Cherie is able to utilise a number of therapeutic modalities. These modalities include Gestalt Psychotherapy, Counselling, Compassionate Inquiry, Trauma Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness, among others. These approaches allow Cherie to support her clients in enacting lasting change and in creating a brighter and more fulfilling future.
