Carolyn is a qualified and experienced counsellor and active member of the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). She is committed to ongoing professional development in line with best ethical practice and provides flexible, quality care for her clients. Carolyn has worked over many years in a number of sectors including not-for-profit, community health, disability & private practice.
Warm and empathic, Carolyn’s professional counselling style assists her clients to gain insight and awareness around personal concerns and life issues. Compassionate and non-judgemental, she engenders trust and a sense of safety to enable her clients to share their stories of adversity, struggle, courage and vulnerability. No matter your age, gender, culture, ability or sexual orientation, her approach empowers you to be the driver and own ‘expert’ in your life. Carolyn ‘provides the tools – you provide the possibility for growth and change’.
Drawing from humanistic, experiential and evidence-based counselling practice, Carolyn applies an integrative and flexible therapeutic approach, designed to suit individual needs. These include; Person-Centred, Narrative, Couples/Family, Art Therapy, Trauma-Informed, Psychodynamic psychotherapy and Emotion-focused therapy. Carolyn also examines the broader picture, encouraging healthy lifestyles to optimise general health & wellness.
