Brad Murray is a highly regarded counsellor with years of experience in the field. Brad holds membership with the Australian Counselling Association and works with individuals and couples presenting with a wide range of issues.
Brad is highly trained in helping clients get to the root of what is keeping them stuck in order to make lasting, meaningful changes. He sees counselling as being focused on supporting clients to respond helpfully to life’s challenges instead of reacting with ineffective and unhelpful patterns. Brad collaborates with his clients to find solutions that work for them, using helpful methods and strategies as needed. He combines an authentic and highly supportive presence with an engaging, pragmatic attitude, helping clients feel understood and empowered to live life to the fullest.
Brad is professionally trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and draws on Somatic Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Attachment theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Existential Therapy. For couples, he also integrates relationship-focused therapies such as Emotionally-Focused Therapy and Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO). Brad sees that counselling makes a big difference in people's lives and that everyone has the capacity for hope, courage, growth and change.
