Anouke Stanislaus is an accomplished and engaging counsellor with over 14 years’ experience. She is an accredited member of the AASW. In addition to her private practice, Anouke has a diverse background in the private, government, forensic and health sectors. Anouke provides effective therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Anouke has a compassionate, supportive and flexible manner and she creates a safe and trusting environment. Anouke works with her clients to formulate a plan with goals that are specific to their circumstances. She regularly asks for feedback and adjusts her sessions to maintain a comfortable pace. Anouke balances empathic support for her client’s issues while also fostering a sense of hope, personal growth and adjustment in assisting her clients to live a meaningful life in the face of different life situations.
Each session with Anouke is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. Anouke incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into her practice including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Emotional Focus Therapy. Anouke uses an integrated, client centred approach and is skilled at helping her clients address a variety of issues.
