Annie Garrety is a highly regarded and skilled counsellor with many years’ experience supporting adults, couples, families, children and adolescents. She is registered with PACFA and is President of GANZ and Co-Chair for Research. Annie’s commitment to and understanding of counselling services ensures the best professional care for each of her clients.
Annie is passionate about empowering her clients to have satisfying relationships and rewarding lives. Her engaging respectful, approach supports clients to collaboratively create positive change. Through increased awareness and acceptance many clients find they have an improved ability to take new actions. Annie is creative and insightful so even if clients are suffering from damaging behaviours she can support them to move forward.
Annie believes in the inherent wholeness of each person and understands that challenges can arise when there has been insufficient support for particular situations. Annie provides support for gentle incremental change using an integrated client-centred approach, drawing on many evidenced informed contemporary models of counselling including: Relational Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Emotion Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
