Angie Crossin is a strength based and highly skilful counsellor with many years of experience. She is a registered member of Australian Association of Counsellors and a member of Australian Counselling Association College of Supervisors. In addition to her private practice, Angie has worked in many sectors including community health, justice and non-profit. She provides effective therapeutic support to individuals, adolescents, families, and couples.
Angie is warm and approachable which allows her clients to build a rapport with her easily. She finds that many of her clients really want to improve an aspect of their life but they don’t know how to focus on which steps that they need to take now or which skills they wish to develop. Angie creates a warm environment that enables her clients to feel safe, accepted, respected and relatively comfortable to express themselves honestly, get to understand their true feelings and work with her to find solutions.
Angie is highly resourceful and uses different approaches and counselling techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Systemic Therapy and Mindfulness. Each session is tailored her clients’ needs. Angie believes that with the right techniques and her clients’ willingness to change, counselling can help her clients to boost their confidence, foster adoptive thinking and see positive results.
