Angela Oldfield is a highly regarded and experienced counsellor who holds membership with the Australian Counselling Association as well as the AASW. In addition to her counselling work, Angela also supervises other counsellors in clinical practice.

Angela provides therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, and couples who are experiencing a variety of concerns. Angela’s approach is founded in an understanding that to provide effective support for the challenges people face, openings must be created for the client to restore a sense of control. This gives clients the ability to become more resilient emotionally and psychologically in their journey of growth and change.

Angela believes that an individualised approach to counselling sees the most effective outcomes. She therefore works to combine emotional, psychological, and physical health into counselling sessions with a belief that all systems work symbiotically within an individual.

Angela is highly skilled and implements an array of therapeutic modalities to achieve this individualised counselling approach. These techniques include Narrative therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, Dialectical Behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Strengths and Empowerment therapy. This makes sessions with Angela adaptive and person-centred, meaning that she can work with clients to create a personalised experience to allow them to achieve an inner refuge through guidance, creativity, and connection.
