Adrienne Jeffries is a compassionate, motivational counsellor with over 30 years’ professional experience. She is an accredited mental health member of the AASW. Adrienne has worked extensively in private practice and the public health and education sectors, as both a counsellor and clinical supervisor. She is passionate about assisting people to create the life they desire, and she works with clients of all ages.
Adrienne’s counselling style is warm, positive and down to earth. She provides her clients with a deep and unique therapeutic experience that helps them to understand and effectively sort out their life challenges. Adrienne encourages her clients to understand how the past operates in the present, and discover how relationships and family patterns can support or destabilise their inner strength and wellbeing. By identifying and releasing unhelpful behavioural and emotional patterns, Adrienne’s clients move towards creating new and more functional ways of being in their world. Counselling with Adrienne is heart-centred, meaningful and life-changing.
Adrienne draws on a number of effective, evidence-based counselling methods in her practice. Sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each individual client, couple or family. Techniques that Adrienne uses include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Couple and Family Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychosynthesis, Stress Management, and Play Therapy.
